Parent Connections Council

Parent Connections Council

The Parent Connections Council (PCC) consists of school district parents from each of our 16 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools, 1 middle/high school (Harrison Prep) and our Alternative Learning Environments (virtual & Open Doors). PCC members are volunteers and agree to represent their student’s school for one school year.

PCC meetings are led by the district Family and Community Partnership Coordinator in conjunction with the Deputy Superintendent and Student Services Director. During PCC meetings we collaborate with designated district staff to inform parents about district projects and initiatives and engage parents for input in district decision making.

The PCC meets four times a year, typically one time each quarter. The meeting dates for the 2022-2023 school year are:

• October 5
• November 30
• February 1
• April 19

Meetings run from 5:30-7:00 pm in a hybrid fashion, both in-person and virtually on zoom. The in-person meetings occur at the Student Services Center (SSC) - 10903 Gravelly Lake Dr. SW. Childcare is available upon request.

We encourage parent representatives to share what they learn at the PCC meetings with other parents and bring forth issues from their schools and other parents as they arise. We strive to make our meetings engaging, informative and solution based.

Interpretation for parents is provided when needed.
