Clover Park High School freshmen, staff and alumni participated in the two-day leadership event Be R.E.A.L. (Respect, Equality, Acceptance and Love) to build positive school culture.
Student leaders created Be R.E.A.L., and more than 70 juniors and seniors were trained to lead this event for the more than 300 freshmen who attended. With the help of community partners like Communities in Schools of Lakewood and community member Eddie Johnson, the activities, worked in small groups to develop their definitions of respect, equality, acceptance and love, and they met with CPHS alumni who gave their insights and perspectives as former students.
Special thanks to Black Bear Frozen Yogurt who provided yogurt and churros and CPHS alumni for joining current students and providing valuable insight.
