Clover Park High School (CPHS) held the 2024 Arlington Project ceremony on May 22 to recognize the service and sacrifices of members of the armed services. It is an annual tradition presented by the school in the lead up to Memorial Day weekend each year.
CPHS students installed markers across the school’s front lawn that represent each of the more than 7,000 soldiers who died in support of the Iraq and Afghanistan operations following 9/11.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from special guests: Colonel Brian Bergren, Superintendent Ron Banner and CPHS principal Rene McCord. It included musical performances by The Rainier Brass Quintet and the CPHS band and choir. The Arlington Project tribute was displayed through Memorial Day.
