COVID-19 Protocols

COVID-19 Protocols

Providing a safe and healthy learning environment is our highest priority. The district is working closely with the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and monitoring reports of a new respiratory virus, Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The district is also following the Washington State Department of Health Decision Tree in its response.

Safety protocols are in place that are followed by students, staff and visitors to district facilities. In the event a COVID-19 case is reported to the district, the health department will provide guidance on contact tracing, notifications and any additional measures.

  • Individuals who are determined to have potential close contact (within six feet for 15 minutes or more) will be notified regarding testing and quarantine.
  • A weekly report of confirmed cases by location will be provided on the district website.
  • Confirmed cases from winter break (Dec. 19-Jan. 3) will be included in the Jan. 4-10 weekly report.

*General notification sent to staff and families
