Staff Vaccines

COVID-19 Vaccine Information for CPSD Staff

The State of Washington has moved school employees into Phase 1B Tier 1 of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan. This means Clover Park School District employees are now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

COVID-19 vaccines are free (although your insurance may be billed depending on vaccine provider), and the federal program is making more vaccine available to Pierce County.

The school district is developing additional plans with Joint Base Lewis-McChord, St. Clare’s Hospital and Pierce County for upcoming vaccination opportunities. The state also has a partnership with Kaiser Permanente through its “Get Ready” partnership to support the vaccination of school employees.

The following are some vaccine options currently available. These options may vary and it is important to review information and instructions.

Find COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

Vaccinate WA provides information on providers that have open appointments based on zip code. Enter your zip code and view a list of providers with links to schedule appointments:

New Clinic at Lakewood Towne Center

A new clinic at the Lakewood Towne Center is offering Pfizer vaccines Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for everyone 16 and older.

The walk-up clinic is at the old Dress Barn building (10330 59th Ave SW Suite B, Lakewood). You can register online ahead of time, but they will also have extra doses on hand for 50 or so walk-in appointments each day.

A parent or guardian will need to sign a consent form for 16- and 17-year-olds to be able to receive the vaccine, although they do not need to be present at the time of vaccination.

Tacoma Dome Vaccine Site

A COVID-19 vaccination site is opening at the Tacoma Dome with a goal of providing an estimated 34,000 doses. The Pierce County Department of Emergency Management will open the site beginning Tuesday, April 27.

It will remain open for six weeks. To register, follow this link.

OSPI/Kaiser Permanente “Get Ready” Partnership

Established for school employees—both non-members and members of Kaiser Permanente—and distribution will be equitable. Employees are not required to receive their vaccination through Kaiser Permanente. Registration is for COVID-19 purposes only. Once you register, follow the prompts for vaccination appointment only.
